CRIMINAL DEFENSE

I have extensive experience in all facets of criminal defense, from DUIs to homicides, from regulatory offenses and so-called “white-collar” crime to gangs, drugs and weapons cases.


TRIALS

I’m a skillful and creative courtroom advocate, ready to defend you at trial or negotiate a beneficial resolution.

 

CIVIL LITIGATION

I’ve handled a wide variety of civil litigation in state and federal courts including civil rights cases, police misconduct, First Amendment cases, business disputes, and restraining orders.

 
 

APPEALS

With a wide-ranging appellate experience, I’ve argued before the California Supreme Court (twice), almost all the California Courts of Appeal, the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (the highest military court). 


ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

I bring an extensive experience navigating administrative hearings, including driver’s license suspension hearings before the Department of Motor Vehicles.

 
 

WRITS

I’ve successfully prosecuted numerous writs of habeas corpus in the trial and appellate courts, as well as a variety of other writs, including writs of mandamus, prohibition and writs of review.
